Message from Home

If you’ve read and understood the first 2 blogs (Cornfield Chase; Give me Control!), this message will be super easy to understand.

This prison that we build and live in, and try to turn it into a better prison every day, is my problem. I want to free people of this prison.

When I reverse-engineered this problem, I found that we created this prison to feel safe. Yes. Counter-intuitive. But it saves us from the dangers of uncertainty in life. It gives us the safety that we feel when we know how our day is going to look like. The feeling of safety that comes from knowing that our families are going to sleep well tonight. But we lose a sense of purpose in this prison. We kill most of our desires. And the only thing left to do is following what others before us did - college, job, marriage, car, kids, house, insurance, and so on. It’s like we live to accomplish these things, instead of letting these things help us live a better life.

It’s either this or the other end of the extreme. Most people who honour their desires, passion and calling, put their health & fitness to a low priority. Because social media standards of health seem unachievable. They progress in their work, but ignore the calls from their bodies about basic nutrition & movement.

And I want you to listen closely when I say this. It’s possible for you to create a healthier and happier life irrespective of who you are, and what life stage you are in today.

Basically, every body wants a good health and a fit body so that they can do bigger things in life. The things they truly and deeply desire. Desire is the keyword here. But we either forget that along the way, or obsess over it. Many times, without any awareness of it at all. If this foundation stays weak, imagine the world we’ll build.

Today, just ask yourself, what do I truly and deeply desire in my heart. What kind of life do I want for myself? Am I truly living that?
